After starting Syntonic Construction LTD in 1990, we decided to evolve the company with the creation of Syntonic Kitchen Technicians LTD in 2001 which gave the technical team at the time more independence to work in the commercial sector. Since then as a company we have developed and responded to the market in a number of ways including updating job management whilst incorporating strict Health and Safety principles by our workforce. We are always evolving and my role therefore is a broad one incorporating the financial management of the company and the general management of our team. As a small team we have an intricate structure but I like to think we all adopt our own roles proficiently.
Building Services Manager
I have been working at Syntonic now since 1995. I have grown with the company over these past 17 years since attending Building College, gradually moving from general labourer to being the head of our building services team and managing the overall workings of the company. I hire personnel and manage them plus key client interaction from new contracts acquisitions and sales. I have also acquired relevant qualifications in the disciplines I manage, from electrical qualifications to commercial and domestic gas qualifications. The general ethos at Syntonic is one of self-improvement and as such we encourage all staff, ourselves included, to maintain a professional standard of work by constant and continuous professional development.
Technical Services Manager
I have been working at Syntonic for 15 years, my roles are wide and varied but mainly include the day to day management of our technical services team. I am one of the senior engineers on the team and I am competent in most minor electrical, plumbing and fabric repair services. My accreditation provides me with professional credentials and certification in refrigeration and commercial gas works which would be the mainstay of my career. I like to read, socialise and spend time with my family in my spare time.
General Administrator and Human Resources Manager
Having worked part time at Syntonic for ten years my position has evolved naturally through its course. My responsibilities range from general office duties to managing the payroll and human resources of the firm including being the team First aider. Outside of work I enjoy a healthy social life and love spending time with my family.
Senior Electrical and Catering Engineer
I have been working at Syntonic for 10 years and throughout this time have enjoyed growing with the company professionally. In this time I have acquired my Electrical and Gas Qualifications. Using these skills every day I have enjoyed improving my overall knowledge of the majority of catering equipment and the different problems and situations you can come across within the commercial kitchen environment. With my electrical qualifications we have managed to improve our overall knowledge of the different problems associated with the domestic and commercial market. Outside of work I enjoy watching films and socialising with my family and friends.
Senior Plumbing and Catering Engineer
I have been with Syntonic for 7 years, and in this time I have become a qualified plumber and gas safe engineer for both the commercial and domestic sectors. My role at Syntonic engages both my plumbing and gas disciplines in order to problem solve existing installations and install gas and wet plumbing installations to the safest and best possible standard. In my spare time I enjoy reading, history and spending time with my family.
Electrical and Catering Engineer
I have been working at Syntonic for 7 years straight from school. During this time I undertook an apprenticeship scheme and was studying at college one day a week in order to gain my Electrical Engineer qualifications. Since then I have furthered my career and knowledge accompanying the senior engineers on tasks, to carrying out my own work and jobs. I have now been a JIB registered and a qualified engineer since 2009 and enjoy being an integral part of the electrical and catering side of the technical services team. In my spare time I enjoy a healthy social life with my friends.
Carpenter and General Building
I've been working at Syntonic since 2006. In this time I have acquired my carpentry diploma and most health and safety Tickets related to the work I carry out. Asbestos awareness, working at heights, etc. I manage the day to day operation of our small building sites and carry out the ‘handy man’ tasks we get set. These can include the installation of integrated kitchen appliances along with one of my plumbing or electrical co-workers to the full installation of fitted kitchens. Along with my colleagues in the building side of the company our aim is to complete all of our projects on time and to the finest quality. We like to think that there is nothing too challenging for our abilities and like to test this view regularly. Outside of work I enjoy cooking and being a DJ in my spare time I also enjoy my music.
